It has been forever since my last post. Since then we have grown in numbers and are now a family of 4! We welcomed little Daxon to our family March 11th at 1:05 am. He weighed in at 6 pounds 12 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long. It feels like he has been a part of our family forever...we love him to pieces!!
We were so surprised to see so much hair when he was born...considering Cohen didn't get a full head of hair till he was 2! Daxon has since lost it all, but it is slowly starting to grow back. Daxon is such a good baby, we are so lucky! I could probably count on one hand the amount of cranky days he has had(knock on wood). Life is definitely busier with 2 kids, but I think we've adjusted pretty well. Cohen sure loves his little brother and is really good with him. He looks for him the minute he wakes up and loves to make him laugh. We just love having this little guy in our family!

I cannot believe Cohen is 2 years old, he still feels like my little baby! As excited as I am to have baby #2 in a few weeks, I can't help but feel a little sad knowing Cohen will no longer be the baby of the family.
Cohen is such a funny little guy, he has such a sweet personality and a great sense of humor! There are so many things I want to remember about this crazy 2 year old :)

-He is very independent, always trying to do everything by himself. He is constantly telling us to "go" (go away) if he doesn't want our help
-He has recently decided he likes to pee on the potty, I'm definitely not ready to potty train though!
-He is becoming a little chatter box! He is adding new words to his vocabulary everyday, but still speaks really good gibberish! My absolute favorite is when he says "Love you"
-He is very generous with kisses and hugs! I sure hope he stays that way :)
-He loves to wrestle, run around and be tickled...especially by his dad!
-His favorite TV show is Dora and would probably watch it all day if I let him.
-He is a great little helper. He always puts his dirty clothes in the hamper. Brings me the phone when it rings(even when I'm in the shower). I can't do anything in the kitchen without him dragging a chair over to help.
-He has a very big sweet tooth just like his parents.
-It took him till he was 18 months, but he is now a great napper. I can usually get 2-3 hours in the afternoon(I'm really hoping that sticks when the baby comes)

We just can't get enough of this boy...we love him to pieces! Here's to hoping the terrible 2's stay away for ever!

Halloween

I know, I know...Halloween was months ago, but I am very behind!
We carved a pumpkin with Cohen, but he wanted nothing to do with the gooey stuff inside. He loved the pumpkin when it was all done and lit up with a candle though!

We went to Marcus' Halloween themed birthday party that Friday. Everyone got all dressed up and had a great time! Cohen sported 2 Halloween costumes this year. The first one was for Marcus' party. Drew says it was cruel for me to make my little boy wear a pink poodle costume, but I thought it was pretty funny! Hopefully Cohen will forgive me :) We put his real costume on the next day for trick or treating and he made a really cute shark!

I failed big time at getting caught up by Christmas, but better late than never! Mat is back in Medicine Hat for the next 8 weeks finishing his last year of school. I am so excited for him to finally be done! My nights are pretty uneventful once Cohen goes to bed, so time to catch up on the blog!

We had a great summer even if it was way too short! We had a lot of rain this summer, and there was never a lack of wind in Lethbridge. But we tried to take advantage of the nice days we did get.

We spent a lot of time out at the pool.

We made it down to Echo Lake a few times this summer. We love it there and Cohen had so much fun trying to keep up with all his cousins!

He actually wanted to get in the lake with us!

It had been way too long since I have posted...I actually thought I might of forgot how! Wow, has time been flying by lately. I am going to have a 2 year old in 1 week and a brand new baby in 3 months, crazy!!! My goal is to get caught up before Christmas, stay tuned!

Cohen leaned a little too far over the edge of the tub as it was filling up...oops! Those toys in the tub were just too tempting...he had to have them! He was so not impressed...that may have had something to do with me grabbing the camera before I grabbed him :)

I'm not to sure why Cohen thinks he needs to climb inside everything that looks remotely his size. It's pretty funny though...that is until he trips over, falls out off or gets stuck in it!

Nicki took these pictures of Cohen in February. I thought it was about time I shared them! Cohen is going on 16 months and is growing like a weed. It seems like everyday I have to move things farther back on the table, desk or dresser so he can't reach his little paws up there and pull everything down. I am amazed at how good his memory is...he always seems to remember where I hide my treats, I can't sneak anything by him anymore!

I can't wait for the nice weather to stick around. Cohen loves going outside, and has already enjoyed a few nice days at the park. He is going to be so much fun this summer! Cohen finally got his 7th tooth a couple weeks ago, I wish the rest would just come and get it over with!

We reached a HUGE milestone this week...Cohen is sleeping through the whole night!! It has been a whole week of me not getting out of bed till morning. I started to think this day would never come.

Life just couldn't get any better right now, we are crazy in love with this little guy!!

Christmas

I have been a real slacker at posting lately! Better late than never though...finally some pictures from Christmas. We had a great Christmas this year. Cohen had no idea what was going on, but it was still fun watching him SLOWLY unwrap presents! We went out to Cardston Christmas Eve and spent the night. We had an eventful night with food, white elephant gifts, food, Christmas pajamas, food, and a nativity put on by the kids (Somehow Mat still fit right in as the donkey!). Cohen gave us our first present Christmas morning and slept past 8:00! Mat and I always do stockings for each other, and I thought Cohen should have his own this year too. He wasn't too impressed with the stocking, but the BIG bag of popcorn twists beside it...he was in heaven!! It was the first thing he went for and we had to hide them from him just so he would look at his other present!

After all the presents were opened we ate some breakfast and headed back to Lethbridge. We booked the church this year for Christmas day. It was great, we had dinner there and then had the whole gym for the kids to run around and play. We even had an Astro Jump...maybe next year Cohen will actually want to go in it!

All in all Christmas was great!!! We are so blessed to have such big wonderful families to spend the holidays with!

Cohen's 1st Birthday!!

I can't believe we have a 1 year old! This year has gone by way too fast. Mat was saying the other day that he thought being a parent would be fun, but didn't expect it to be this much fun! I'm glad it has exceeded his expectations :) We are so blessed to have Cohen as part of our family and can't even begin to describe the joy he brings to us.

It is amazing how much they grow and learn in just one year. Cohen is walking everywhere now, but still looks a little like Frankenstein. He'll get the bending the knees thing soon enough :) Cohen has always been a pretty happy baby and I am so glad that hasn't worn off! He is especially happy in the morning...some mornings he plays in his crib for half an hour before I even get out of bed! Cohen loves bath time and would happily spend a half hour in there every night. He loves to play on the floor, bed, couch...pretty much anywhere you can throw him around, toss pillows at his head or tickle him. He seriously never stops...this kid has so much energy! Cohen is now going to sleep at bed time all by himself, yeah!! It only took me a year to finally do it! (naps are a different story...but we'll get there)

It has been an amazing first year with Cohen and we are so excited to continue watching him learn and grow. We love you Cohen!!!

We had a little birthday party for Cohen with our family. Now I say little...but there were 35 people in our house! I guess that's what you get when you have big families! It was great to have everyone come and celebrate with us, even if it was a little crazy!

This year was Cohen's first halloween. He may have been too little to go trick or treating with the other kiddies, but he still dressed up with the rest of them! He sure made one cute sock monkey!!

I am so happy with all the pictures, Nicki really did a great job! My Uncle Scott & Aunt Karen had the whole Clark side of the family to Scott's parents cabin in Waterton for a weekend. It was so much fun. Tons of great food (thanks to Karen & mom), great company, and very late nights of "Rook" and "Settlers"! Were hoping this was the first of a new tradition each summer...lets hope Karen & Scott go for it!

Echo Lake...see you next summer!

I can't believe summer is almost over! It felt way too short this year...doesn't it always! We made it down to Echo Lake 3 times this summer and it was a blast. Mat's dad and uncle share a lot on Alpine drive, about a 5 minute walk right down to the lake. We are so lucky to have such a great place to go in the summer months. We always have so much fun with all the family when we are down there.

It was much different with a baby this year than in the past. Not quite as much freedom to go on the boat (and tan ;). But there was definitely no shortage of entertainment for Cohen. His cousins just love playing with him...and Cohen LOVES the attention! I can't wait till next year when Cohen is running around!

We took Cohen for his first boat ride...and he was great! No tears at all and by the end he was falling asleep. Mat loves to Wake Board and surf, but I'm quite content just watching. Mat is convinced Cohen will love these things as well...that scares me a little bit. Mat has a reputation for hurting himself alot...although he is getting much less daring at his old age!

We took our last trip down there on the September long weekend...not always the best weather. We did get one good day on Saturday, but was pretty rainy the rest of the time. Oh well...one more reason to go shopping!

Ok, this may be ridiculous...but i couldn't resist dedicating a full post to Cohen's new cheesy smiles! I am amazed everyday at how much he is changing, and how quickly they pick up new things. Since the beginning of summer Cohen has gotten his first two teeth, started crawling and now has perfected the cheesy smile. He only pulls out these smiles when he sees the camera though! It is soooo funny!!

It had been while a while since we got all four babies in a picture together. So we took advantage last weekend at Ryan and Courtney's family dinner and took a few. It never seems to fail...there is always one unhappy baby in the picture. This time it was Cohen! Oh well, I think the pictures still look pretty darn cute.

Swimming

We are so lucky to have a pool to swim in all summer long whenever we want! The pool is at my Grandpa's house, and we have been swimming in it since we were all little. It is so much fun to now be able to bring our own kids there. Since both my Grandma and Grandpa have passed away, we weren't sure if the pool would be used this year. But thanks to all their kids (Dave, Jane, Jim, Karen & Cam) they made it possible! Thank you sooooo much...I know Grandma and Grandpa are smiling down seeing how much joy all of the grandkids & great grandkids are getting out of it!

Cohen was a little unsure of the pool at first. It definitely isn't as warm as the bath water he is used to. But it only took a few minutes and he seemed to get used to it. Once the warm weather hit...we were there 4 days in row!

I'm not sure if he was crying because he didn't like the water...or because he didn't like the funny looking hat I was making him wear :)
Much better...but still wearing the funnly looking hat. I tell everyone I only make him wear it because I love him...I have to protect his bald head from the sun!
Cooper quite enjoyed just floating around the pool...he even had a little snooze!

6 months and growing...

I never imagined how much a baby could really change your life...until we had Cohen. Everyday I find myself thinking how lucky we are to have Cohen as part of our family!! He is such a happy little baby, especially at 6:30 in the morning. He insists on being an early riser, and if it wasn't for all the smiles and giggles, I would find it much more difficult waking up with him everyday :) He just got his first tooth this week, and I think there is another coming soon. I sure am going to miss that gummy little smile! He is also starting to learn how to crawl...he is only moving backwards and in circles for now, and always manages to get half his body under the couch. Last week he finally started getting on his knees and rocking back and forth. I'm sure he will be motoring around in no time! Here are just a few pics of the last month.

Anyone who knows me...knows that i LOVE candy :) Thanks to Geoff & Nicki...i have started Cohen very young. I thought it was necessary considering this sucker will take 5 years to finish!!

This is one of Mat's favorite pairs of pajamas. They are little "Thor" pj's...he seems to think it brings Cohen that much closer to riding a dirt bike. I don't see that happening for at least 10 years!!!

It has been way to long since I have blogged...but moving is a lot more work than I anticipated. First came the packing in the condo...not fun!! Packing really sucks, and packing with a baby sucks even more. Moving day came very quickly though, and with lots of help from all our family...we finished in less than 5 hours. We are so lucky to have both our families so close. Thank you everyone! We have been in the new house for 3 weeks, and it is slowly starting to feel like home. I am LOVING the extra space, especially in the kitchen. It is amazing how much more enjoyable cooking can be when you have more counter space...and a dishwasher! Needless to say, we are loving our new house! The only bad thing about moving into a house with more space...is having to get more things to fill it up.

It finally feels like summer is coming!! We went on a little picnic with Nicki, Kaiya and Jager last weekend. It was a perfect day...besides the wind (good old Lethbridge). We put Cohen in the swing and he LOVED it! It feels like he is getting so big...time goes by way too fast! I am really enjoying this age, he is getting such a little personality. I never could of imagined how much fun being a mom could be!

Cohen LOVES his jolly jumper. Everyone who sees him in it can't believe how much he can jump. He goes a little crazy sometimes...it is hilarious. My mom thinks he will skip walking and go straight to jumping. This is because any time you try and stand him on his feet he starts to jump. I have to admit, think I might love the Jolly Jumper as much as Cohen. It is great having him entertained for a short time each day...a little time to get some things done.

Well Cohen may kill me for this when he is older, but for now I think I'm safe. Being the great sister I am...I occasionally pick up Kaiya from school for Nicki. I leave Cohen with her...and never used to worry, until a couple days ago when this picture surfaced. I guess that's what I get for leaving my little boy all alone with his Aunt Nicki.

There is nothing sweeter than a little revenge...Cooper makes a pretty girl as well!

Cohen definitely does not have a lack of cousins. He has 12 on my side of the family and 7 on Mat's side. He is lucky enough to have three cousins his age...Jordyn, Phoenix and Cooper. It is so much fun getting them all together and seeing how quickly they change.

Cohen's First Christmas

Well we definetly got the best present anyone could of asked for...a baby!! I was very glad Cohen decided to join us before Christmas. I had a huge fear of being over due! We spent Christmas Eve out at Grandpa Clark's house with my family and then headed out to Cardston on Christmas Day to spend time with Mat's family. Cohen was only 11 days old, but he still managed to get spoiled. Besides being extremely tired...it was a great Christmas!!

Well it was bitter sweet coming home from the hospital. As exciting as it was bringing Cohen home...I no longer had nurses waiting on me 24 hours a day. Although Mat did fill the position as my nurse quite quickly. I am very lucky to have such a great husband!

Cohen and I got to stay in the hospital for four days. It was kind of nice being taken care of for those first four days. Anyone who has had a c-section will agree with me when I say they are NO fun!! Thankfully Mat was able to stay home for a couple of weeks to help me out...I definetly needed it!

Well the day finally came...we welcomed Cohen Mathew Jensen to our family on December 14, 2008. He decided to come four days early and I was thrilled! Although labor didn't quite go as I expected (like i knew what to expect!!) ending in an emergency c-section. Everything went well after that point and we were blessed with a healthy baby boy!

Well here it goes...my first attempt at blogging. Cohen is only 3 months old, but I have already noticed...time goes by way to fast. I can't believe how quickly they change! A blog seemed like a great way to keep a journal of our new little family and be able to share it with our friends and family.
